Technology gives us the ability to be more efficient and organized in many areas of our daily lives. This is also applicable to the various areas of ministry. We would like to share with you some ministry tech tools that can be very useful in meeting the many demands and responsibilities of your ministry.

1. WordPress

At more than 60 million websites, WordPress is the most widely used blogging system on the Web. It is a free website platform with a search engine–friendly structure that helps expand the reach of your ministry. Though used widely for commercial organizations, it is perfect for churches. Available through WordPresss.com or wordpress.org, your site can be as generic or customized as you choose.

2. Google Plus

Google Plus is a social networking service, very similar to Facebook, that can be used as a media hub for your church. If used with Youtube (Now owned by Google) all your new videos get automatic exposure to those you associate with on Google. According to experts, having Google+ followers is what will boost the Google search ranking the most.

 

3. Audacity

 
In addition to recording audio from multiple sources, Audacity can be used for post-processing of all types of audio, including podcasts by adding effects such as normalization, trimming, and fading in and out.

4. Windows Live Movie Maker

is a free video editing software by Microsoft. It is a part of Windows Essentials software suite and offers the ability to create and edit videos as well as to publish them on OneDrive, Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr.It is especially good for creating documentaries and slide shows.

5.Creative Commons

is a non-profit organization devoted to expanding the range of creative works available for others to build upon legally and to share. A great source for free pictures for your wesite or other media projects. Creative Commons pictures can be found on sites like Flickr.
